Success Tool Chest is a wholly owned Novacom International Limited Company. ‘Nova’ means ‘New’, ‘Com’ means ‘Communications’. The Success Tool Chest is Novacom’s consulting and coaching arm and has been providing these kinds of services since 2001.

Michael Garska is the managing coach at Success Tool Chest. He founded Novacom in 1988. Michael is an author, speaker, coach and consultant. Novacom also operates Speakers Bureau of Alberta www.speakersalberta.com where you can access the services of Alberta’s top speakers and experts in many industries.

Between 1988 and 1998 Novacom operated cellular phone stores for Cantel AT&T and sold interactive voice response software and systems.

Novacom achievements (partial list):


The first organization to provide a world wide matching service for mentors and apprentices to find friends and support in over 1400 aspects of life. Find A Mentor.org

We provided North Western Utilities customers (now Atco Gas) with the first automated phone in meter reading system in Alberta. Customers could phone in their meter reading in less than a minute without speaking to a person.


We were the first Alberta Company to provide an automated scheduled power outage notification system for Alberta Power (now Atco Electric) using IVR technologies.


We were one of the first three companies in Canada to open a cellular phone store in a mall location.

Novacom community support:

We were the first company in Alberta, in partnership with the University of Alberta Hospitals, to provide the public with a free 24-hour health information service using automated IVR.

We provided the Edmonton Folk Music Festival with volunteers and or all or part of their wireless communications requirements for 8 years.

We provided the Edmonton Fringe Festival with volunteers and or all or part of their wireless communications requirements for 2 years.

We provided the Edmonton Berkebeiner Ski Festival with volunteers and or all or part of their wireless communications requirements for 3 years.
